ABOUT
Toronto, 1989...
I was born to a loving family, the second of two girls in a family of academics. My mother "the pharmacist", my father "the accountant", and my sister "the lawyer". I was the black sheep of the family, could never focus on school work, but loved media, art, and anything creative.
I went to school, trying to find one particular thing that called to me, but never truly found it. Instead, I found I had passions for various things; writing, photography, design, film, history, psychology, journalism, it was all important to me. I could never stay focused on one thing long enough to become a "professional" at it. Instead, I completed two certificates, one in Art Fundamentals and one in Media Fundamentals, at Seneca College and Sheridan College, respectively, before moving on to complete my Bachelor of Applied Arts in Interpretive Illustration at Sheridan.
I graduated Sheridan, completing an internship with RAID Studio, with a job waiting for me, though it was in retail; thrift to be specific. I had started as a sales clerk and moved quickly to a Front-End Supervisor, which gave me job security and the ability to pay off my debt, as well as earn some work experience. But after a few years, paying of my debt and gaining some real world experience, I moved on to work at Inkbox Tattoos, starting as a Fulfillment Coordinator before being promoted to Artist Community Coordinator. I helped to build the Artist Community with Inkbox and give hundreds of Artists across the world a form of passive income for their work, especially during the uncertain time that was the pandemic, and it’s an accomplishment I am incredibly proud of. From here, I’m just looking to enjoy my life, and contribute to my community in productive and impactful ways.
